At JayChem, our tailored cleaning and sanitation programs create a safer home for residents, their families and aged care staff. Recently, we put this mission into action when we completed a five-week project for a leading aged-care provider in Tasmania.
Our team delivered a tailored cleaning and sanitation program encompassing 21 dishwashing machines, 10 laundry machines and 23 housekeeping stations throughout the customer’s facilities – everything the client needed to deliver a cleaner, more hygienic outcome and a safer home for all.
Food service
JayChem supplied chemical cleaning and sanitation solutions for the aged-care provider’s hard surfaces, including detergent and rinse additives for the dishwasher, degreasers for ovens and grills, and products for hard surface sanitation.
To round out this end-to-end hygiene solution, we also provided sanitisers for fresh produce. The product we recommended removes pathogens from fruit and vegetables for safe consumption.
Housekeeping
JayChem’s cleaning and hygiene solutions for aged-care facilities are designed to create and maintain clean, safe environments for residents, their families and staff. For our Tasmanian client, the ideal solution included disinfectants, odour neutralisers, hard-surface cleaners, carpet cleaners and spotting agents.
To decontaminate surfaces and prevent COVID-19 outbreaks, having the right disinfectant on hand is crucial. The JayChem team used our peroxide/chlorine-free Surface Spray Disinfectant which is TGA listed and kills a range of pathogens – including COVID-19 and Norovirus – whilst providing up to 28 days of protection against bacteria and viruses.
Laundry
Within aged-care environments, particular care must be taken to ensure that the on-premise laundry meets AS4146:2000 hygiene standards and cleans every load of linen effectively.
Our Tasmanian client required a tailored laundry program that included the JayChem Central Dosing System. This system validates the laundry process and allows our client is access up to the minute reporting from any mobile device or PC.

We even monitor and report on critical infection control areas, like the laundry operation, remotely to ensure a smooth trouble-free operation.
